The problem
A friend scouts minor leaguers for a living. The call on who'll make it is part eye, part data — and the data side was wide open.
What I built
A model trained on 23M pitches and 145K at-bats, with 22 structured experiments to test what actually predicts a call-up. Built to sit alongside a scout, not replace one.
Where it stands
Validated by a working professional scout. The hosted app has been archived; the experiments and what they proved live here.
Why it matters
A real domain expert in the loop and real validation. The discipline of 22 documented experiments is exactly how I keep AI work honest at scale.
